Southbank Centre, Kinetika Bloco – Through the Fire
At the finale of the two-week Kinetika Bloco Summer School, 150 young people bring us a triumph of glorious music and dance.
The last two years have brought restriction, constraint, loss, and pain. Kinetika Bloco has always been a place of belonging and family, where its members gather to celebrate all cultures inclusively and creatively.
In 2022, inspired by the idea of home and the mythology of the phoenix, Kinetika Bloco chooses to see turbulence as temporary, emerging Through the Fire.
This year’s theme and vision has been driven by a creative squad of the Kinetika Bloco team and young people working together to devise the story and develop the music, arrangements and choreography.
Suitable for all ages but parents should be mindful it’s going to end between 8:30-9PM, it might be in a crowded public space and they may not all have seats and it will be quite loud.
Meet at 17:45 at Notting Hill Gate and we’ll travel by bus 148.
