Magnetic Art at The Invention Rooms
Magnets may seem like they are small everyday things for holding leaflets on the fridge. In this session we will discover that they are important and magical.
We will find words to express the intriguing sensations of repulsion and attraction, detect the Earth’s magnetic field with a paperclip, and discover how it protects us from the Sun’s massive dynamic magnetism. We will make visible the invisible lines of magnetic force and use them to create bright and bold expressive paintings inspired by abstract artist Hilma af Klint.
