For the next year, we will be supporting and coaching a group of 12 young people aged 12-18 to develop their leadership, public speaking, project management skills and build their confidence to be an unstoppable positive force within their community, using their voices for GOOD causes!

The group will be youth led and will design a project to have a positive impact on their community. They will be supported in their own fundraising activities, act as as an advisory group and help Nova by providing a young people’s perspective on our plans for the Family Programme. They will also be given the opportunity to plan and undertake their own holiday activities. This could include theatre trips, horse riding, rock-climbing and anything else they may wish for, we will work with them to make it happen.

Every third session, the group will go out for a meal of their choice in the local area. At the end of the year, the group will get to plan their own BIG SUMMER ACTIVITY. This could be anything from flying a glider, a camping trip or residential to celebrate the positive impact of their community project.

The young people must show commitment for these rewards, showing up to at least 8 out of the 10 sessions this year to make it onto the big summer trip (unless there are legitimate reasons for absence/or they join late but show a big positive impact and willingness to get stuck in!)
